In Luke Warm Loving, the character is strongly urging her lover to keep the passion
burning. She’s experienced the coals burn out before with others, the relationship dryng up and withering away. She’s promised herself that she won’t suffer the suffocation of decaying love. So she reminds her lover that the coals need to stay aglow, both throwing wood on the fire, tending the passion that will keep the love full of fervor.
