From the recording You're the One

Imaginary Lines:
Humanity has always put imaginary lines of separation between countries, religion, sex, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation, etc., when in reality, we’re all One - one with each other, our environment. This apparent separation of sorts is just an array of imaginary lines. These lines, walls, labels and boundaries somehow make us feel safer - perhaps more secure. What would happen if we erased these imaginary lines? What would be left? The answer is that there would be an immense integration of love and acceptance, respect without judgement and criticism, a desire for the well-being, equality, freedom and empowerment for ALL, and most certainly a reverence with respect for our interdependent relationship with the Earth as well.

Lyrics

IMAGINARY LINES

CHORUS:
YELLOW AND RED – BLACK AND WHITE
COLORS OF THE ‘GREAT DIVIDE’
WHAT’S YOURS AND MINE –  A WELL DEFINED
WORLD OF IMAGINARY LINES
VERSE:
TURN ON THE HEADLINE WORLD NEWS
THERE’S ANOTHER PLIGHT – SOMEWHERE ‘OVER THERE’
NOT IMPELLED TO SHED A TEAR – OR INTERFERE
SO GLAD IT’S NOT HERE    …to chorus….
VERSE:
I WONDER WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE
IF DISASTER WOULD STRIKE – INSIDE THESE DOTTED LINES
AND WHAT IF ‘OVER THERE’ – NO ONE REALLY CARED
WOULD WE HAVE A PRAYER     …to chorus…
BRIDGE:
WHAT IF WE REDEFINED – A WORLD WITH NO LINES
AND ACTED LIKE WE’RE ALL INTERTWINED
WHAT A WORLD IT’D BE
